10 Questions With Julia
Personal stylist, model, St Peter’s Hospice volunteer – is there anything Julia doesn’t do?! We caught up with her, just as she got back from her trip to Prague and before she sets off to Sardinia to find out a little more about her style, her favourite AW18 trend and what she loves most about being a personal stylist.
Q1. You recently trained with us, how did you find the course?
A. I loved the training. It was great that it wasn’t only theory based. We got the chance to practice with models.
Q2. What made you decide to become a personal stylist?
A. Just general interest for looking great. It might have started with makeup and watching the tutorials on You Tube. Then I was fortunate enough to meet a few personal stylists that made me realise that this is a profession like every other, so I knew straight away that it was something for me.
Q3. What do you love most about being a personal stylist?
A. Getting to know great people and building relationships with them.
Q4. You also work as a model, how did you get into it?
A. Modelling started thanks to my friend and hairdresser Lukasz Szejka. He got me my first job and it went from there.
Q5. You have recently started volunteering at St Peters Hospice, how are you finding it?
A. Oh I love it so much. This is another opportunity to meet lovely people. Not only have I learnt so much at this position it is totally different to all other things that I do. I am finding so many goodies every week that help with creating my outfits that I post twice a week on my Instagram. I don’t even feel bad about buying loads. It’s all for a good cause.
Q6. What do you love most about shopping in charity shops?
A. Just the fact that buying second hand is good for the environment. Also, everything that you find in charity shops is unique/old/vintage. You can easily adjust items to suit trends but at the same time you don’t need to spend a lot.
Q7. Describe your style….
A. Feminine with a bit of edge.
