10 Questions With Karen Lowe
We sat down with the gorgeous stylist, Karen Lowe at Bristol Fashion Week and asked her 10 questions about autumn trends, her love for styling and her favourite place to travel…..
Q1. What is your favourite A/W17 trend?
A. I’m loving the bright colours. The reds, oranges and yellows are so easy to incorporate into your wardrobe.
Q2. What key pieces would you suggest for autumn?
A. A bright coat, great knitwear and a good pair of boots.
Q3. What do you enjoy the most about Bristol Fashion Week?
A. I love the excitement in the city that it creates. Also, the trends are showcased in a really accessible way for all ages and shapes.
Q4.What do you love most about being a stylist?
A. Seeing women grow in confidence. The smile on their face when they look in the mirror and love how they look. I also work with a diverse mix of women, which is really interesting.
Q5. Where will you be shopping this autumn?
A. I’m a high street girl. So you’ll usually find me in Zara, H&M, Topshop and Mango.
Q6. How do you introduce new trends into your wardrobe?
A. I’m not slave to the trends at all. I only pick the ones I like that compliment my personal style and fit into my wardrobe. I like to mix new pieces with old.
Q7. You volunteer at St Peters Hospice Cotham Hill Ladies, what do you enjoy the most about this?
A. It’s a win win situation as I always find something amazing and love giving value to the charity through the window displays. I meet really interesting people as there is such a sense of community. The conversations I have with people make such a difference.
Q8. Would you recommend shopping in charity shops?
A. Absolutely! Make sure you give yourself time to look and have no expectations.
Q9. You love to travel, where is your favourite place to visit?
A. The mountains of Switzerland! When I go skiing I am forced to switch off as there is no place for fashion. The time out is so liberating.

A. Interesting in the way that people dress. How they put clothes together to express their personality.
