Get ready with us this Christmas
As Christmas rapidly approaches, the stress can often mount for what you’re going to wear on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Eve.
It’s a busy time, and in between the last-minute wrapping, cooking the Christmas dinner and setting up the kid’s new toys (why do they have to make Barbies so hard to get out of the box?!) it can be hard to leave time for yourself to get glammed up.
But, Christmas is that one time of year where you can go all out! However, this does not mean you have to buy a whole new outfit, for example: simply adding one new item can give a new dimension to something that has sat in the back of your wardrobe for a while.
For a little bit of inspiration, we have compiled a few trends that our stylists are adopting over the festive period so that you can get ready with us.
You can over the text to find the links to each item…
All things metallic are necessary at Christmas!
Danni @MYONLYSTYLIST (via Instagram) felt like a magpie when she found these statement silver boots from Mango and immediately added them to her Christmas list.
These boots can dress up jeans and tee you already own for a more casual daytime look, but can also be worn with a dress and tights for an evening get-together. They definitely add a touch of Christmas to any ensemble.
Pop of colour
We love a pop of colour whatever the season, especially pink- but maybe we are biased?!
Natalie @iconicbelgravia (via Instagram) layed out some of her favourite accessories for the season on our member’s page.
Adding a pop of a bright colour like this pink Issa clutch can brighten up deeper-toned outfits and dark winter days alike!
Put them all together with a tailored suit that’s been left unworn for a while and you will be seeing in 2019 in style.
Animal prints without a doubt have to be one of the biggest trends of the year, and this doesn’t stop at Christmas.
Zana @zena_lois (via Instagram) is matching her H&M leopard print tee, Zara shoes and M&S Autograph chain necklace with an ASOS faux leather skirt to add a little bit of rock chic to the season.
If you do the same you’ll be sure to have people oohing and ahhing at your print and texture combo instead of the Christmas lights.
Your Christmas tree doesn’t need to be the only thing sparkling this year.
Don’t want to wear a dress? You can still go festive with this number and dress it up with heels and a clutch that you already own, or dress it down with some flats and a leather jacket that is sat waiting in your wardrobe.
Now you’re good to go.
Whatever you’re up to, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at The image Consulting Company.
