Describe yourself in a few key words…

Authentic, kind, friendly, thoughtful and creative person who loves to help other people.

What brought you to become an Image Consultant?

Having grown up in a creative family environment, I worked in events management planning and styling events worldwide for 25 years, but after losing both my parents I decided life is short. Having always enjoyed styling, I went on to professionally enhance my skills further by training and qualifying to become a Style Coach™️, Personal Stylist and a certified beautician too.

Who have you worked with that compliments the work you do?

I trained and qualified (honours) with the Style Coaching Institute to become a Style Coach™️ and am now part of the International Association of Style Coaches. I have also worked, trained and been mentored personally with / by Casey Paul, Celebrity Stylist and Success Coach. I have undertaken advanced colour consultant training with Jules Standish – Colour Councillor, Author and Personal Stylist. I have recently been featured in the JDWilliams fashion summer campaign and I am the resident regular fashion columnist for Mum to Mum Magazine & Online in Milton Keynes.

What inspires you?

My desire to help other people and make my family proud and to provide a better life for their future.

What are your favourite brands & who are your favourite fashion designers/influencers?

I am not a follower of a particular brand and never have been – I love what I love! I love clothes that are unique and I’ve never been a person to want to be a clone of someone else. I followed Trinny when I was younger, and I still find her a total inspiration now too. Designers – I always love and have a soft spot for the Ted Baker collection, as it’s wearable and affordable, but I do love lots of designer brands. Too many to mention them all!

On the high street I love the affordability of trends and fashion in Zara, H&M and River Island but also the quality and style of designers such as Karen Millen – I can easily flit between them all and find pieces for me or clients. My favourite influencer is Fran Bacon @thefashionlift – such a beautiful person with style I resonate with so much.

How would you describe your personal style?

I am a creative and romantic dresser – I love frills, lace, sequins, glitter and I also love to be creative and add a pop of something a little bit different too! I love wearing bright colours to reflect my personality but am just as happy in a well tailored suit with a fab pair of shoes and handbag!

Tell us 3 things about yourself we don’t know…

  • I am a Coeliac – was diagnosed 18 years ago when nobody knew what it was .. it was hard!
  • Ive worked in HR and also have a professional CIM level 4 qualification in marketing – always been developing my skills throughout my adult life!
  • I love to travel and see the world and drink Prosecco  – my job in events inspired me and there’s so many places I want to see still!

What is your style philosophy?

‘You do you’.  You are unique and you need to love yourself first before anyone else can love you. Also, if you feel great on the inside you will ooze confidence and style on the outside.

Tell us your favourite quote or words of wisdom…

‘Have courage and be kind to others’.

What plans do you have for the future?

I am running my next style event in September 2019 locally in my area. I also plan to hold styling workshops regularly . I wish to develop my skills and help more people to become the best, stylish, confident and happy versions of themselves. I love my new career and am honestly excited for the future.
