What brought you to become an Image Consultant?
I like the idea of being a part of a team who share an interest in style and where support for each other is on hand when needed.
What do you love most about your job?
I love that challenges that being a stylist brings. No day is the same and I love meeting new people. I love shooting in London with great teams of photographers, MUAs, hair and models.
Who have you worked with that compliments the work you do?
I have had the opportunity to work with fashion photographer Paul Whitfield a few times. We both share the same aesthetic so it’s always fun to come up with new ideas for shoots.
What inspires you?
I get a lot of ideas from street style. I am constantly eyeing up what people are wearing.
What are your favourite brands & who are your favourite fashion designers/influencers?
I am obsessed with trainers (always have been) so Nike, Adidas, Fila, Champion, etc have always been staples in my wardrobe. High street favourites are & other stories, Urban Outfitters, Topshop and ASOS is good when you have something specific in mind. High end favourites are Delpozo, Vika Gazinskaya, Roksanda, MSGM, Off-White, Marni, Max Mara, Dice Kayek… I could go on forever!
How would you describe your personal style?
I have always been big on sportswear and comfort is very important to me. I am wearing a lot of wide leg tailored trousers and chunky jumpers and I love a good midi skirt.
Tell us 5 things about yourself we don’t know
I was a hip-hop and funk DJ
I was a window dresser and visual merchandiser for Jigsaw back in the 90’s
I can’t walk in heels
I used to own a kids clothing label called Milk & Cereal
I am scared of spiders
Tell us your favourite quote or words of wisdom…
I am interested in seeing the girl on the street as she is unlike any other. I am inspired by whatever she might be wearing.
What plans do you have for the future?
I love being on location and in the studio so more shoots, hopefully. I would also like to dip my toe in London Fashion Week next year.
