What brought you to become an Image Consultant?
After having my 3 children I wanted to do something for myself that was something that did not evolve around my children and as I have always been really into fashion and shopping a friend suggested I write a fashion blog. So I started my blog and then decided I’d love to have a more rounded knowledge of fashion and styling and decided to go a step further and train as a Stylist. Once I completed my training and started practicing my new skills on friends and family I realised that I love helping women explore their personal style and and watching them gain confidence so continued to pursue this as my full-time career and passion.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new people and getting to know my clients and the fact that the women I work with can all be so different. I love it when you see that ‘penny drop’ moment when they find what works for them and why.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by seeing other women really going for their goals, whether it’s running their own business or climbing the corporate ladder.
I’m inspired by seeing real women and especially real mums and older women (mostly on Instagram) that are really embracing their love of fashion. I am also inspired by brands I love whose styling I admire, particularly brands like Boden who also put together great looks that are really wearable for real women.
What are your favourite brands & who are your favourite fashion designers/influencers?
I love Spanish brands like Zara, Mango and Stradivarius. I also love Oliver Bonas for their patterns and slightly more quirky style. I always get excited when a new Boden catalogue comes through the post as I think they do smart/classic really well and their stylists are amazing, I always love all the looks they put together. In terms of designers I am obsessed with Lulu Guinness! Her collections always have a sense of fun and are distinctive without being too over the top. As for Influencers, Fran Bacon of The Fashion Lift is top of my list, I adore her style!
How would you describe your personal style?
My own personal style is smart/casual, fairly classic but with the odd quirky detail thrown in. I love skirts and dresses and feminine details but you will mostly find me in jeans 7 days a week!
Tell us 3 things we don’t know about you…
Tell us your favourite quote or words of wisdom…
‘But what if I fall?’…’Oh but darling, what if you fly?’
What plans do you have for the future?
My current plans are to expand my styling base and gain as much experience as possible. I love being part of a team and so would love to do more events based work.
