Describe yourself in a few key words…

Friendly, Creative, Passionate, Trustworthy, Generous & Sincere.

What brought you to become an Image Consultant?

My background is sales and marketing, and although I had achieved a lot and was ‘comfortable’ so to speak in my career, I also felt unfulfilled. I am very driven by my interests and if I can’t be passionate about the job that I have then I don’t feel I am giving 100%.

I had always really got on well consulting with and meeting people in all walks of life, and I am also very passionate about design and style whether it be clothing, architecture or just a kettle.

I love watching videos on personal development such as Ted Talks etc, and one day I watched something on Personal Branding and it changed my life. I decided I wanted to look for a career where I could marry up my skills to what I was passionate about. Within a short time I had retrained, exited my previous business and started from the ground up with a new business in styling and branding, and have never been happier with what I do.

What do you love most about your job?

The way you can have such a massive impact (which is usually unexpected) in people’s lives. Making them feel more confident, assured, desirable; making people understand that the small changes they make can have a massive change in the opportunities that start to come their way.

Who have you worked with that compliments the work you do?

I have worked with many businesses helping them market and communicate their products and services better, which in a sense is their packaging. Now I am doing a very similar thing in my eyes, but with people. I love to find the things that are unique and special about businesses or individuals and show them off in their best possible light.

What inspires you?

The fact that I believe we are all in control of our destinies, and we can manifest the things we want from life if we truly believe in them. I love watching other people thrive and be successful, especially if it is in the face of adversity. Seeing my little girl grow and develop is my everyday inspiration at the moment.

What are your favourite brands & who are your favourite fashion designers/influencers?

Ralph Lauren and their various labels, Paul Smith, Kent & Curwen, Belstaff, Orlebar Brown, Harry’s of London, Bally, Acne Studios, Reiss and plenty more.

How would you describe your personal style?

A mixture of American Preppy and English Heritage.

Tell us 3 things about yourself we don’t know…

  1. I have one leg shorter than the other which makes it a nightmare for alterations on clothes.
  2. No shops tend to stock hats that fit my head, or they have to go ‘out the back’ or to ‘the special drawer’.
  3. I once had a speed dating company.

Tell us your favourite quote or words of wisdom…

I love quotes, but the one I have used the most in life at particular times is ‘Don’t let the fear of the moment hold you back from the memory of a lifetime’.

What plans do you have for the future?

I would like to educate young people in schools in deprived areas that the way they show up in life, through the way they look, communicate and behave can shape the opportunities they get and help them create a positive future for themselves.
