Describe yourself in a few key words…
Down-to-earth, fun and not too serious.
What brought you to become an Image Consultant?
It’s something I always wanted to do but I never felt confident enough to do it – I was paralysed by the thought of it being a career for rich fashionistas who only shop in Harrods. After becoming a Mum and losing my sense of style for a while, rediscovering style was so empowering and it gave me the confidence to pursue it as a career.
What do you love most about your job?
Helping women fall in love with style and start getting excited about putting outfits together and having some fun with it.
What inspires you?
I get inspired more by street style than the catwalk – I love seeing the creative colour combinations and silhouettes from the fashion influencers at the various Fashion Weeks. I also love the 1970s for fashion and Mid Century interiors.
What are your favourite brands & who are your favourite fashion designers/influencers?
I love Zara, H&M, &Other Stories and actually find a lot I like in Marks & Spencer. I also love Scandi brands like Twist & Tango, Gestuz and Samsoe & Samsoe. I aspire to Gucci, Chloe and Isabel Marant for accessories and general vibe.
How would you describe your personal style?
I love to wear colour, as it makes me happy and I tend to feel a little flat in neutrals. My style is relaxed (love jeans) but I try to add a little chic edge. I love big earrings and heels I can walk in all day! I’m definitely a mood dresser and I need lots of options to play with.
Tell us 3 things about yourself we don’t know…
I lived in Bermuda for 3 years (the men really do wear Bermuda shorts and long socks to work and weddings).
I once had a job in an orange packing factory, sorting the oranges
I used to get all my family allowance money to buy clothes as a teenager – my prized possession was a denim jacket with pink stitching from Dorothy Perkins!
