Why Colour Analysis Is Not Just a Trend (and Why It Matters Now More Than Ever)
Have you seen how much the colour industry has grown in the last couple of years? We’ve seen TikTok explode, AI trying to get a grip with it, and a multitude of creators jumping on the trend. In my opinion, a trend is something that comes and goes out of fashion but that’s not colour, and it’s definitely not colour analysis.
Sure, it had its moment in the 80s, and then became less popular in the late 90s because… well, we evolve. Yet colour analysis didn’t. At the time.
Fast forward to the 2020s, and here we are
So why is it back in the spotlight now? And why does it still carry that reputation that it’s not for everyone? For some generations (Baby Boomers, Gen X, I see you), there’s still this outdated idea that it’s only for a certain type of person. Or that it’s unaffordable. Or even pointless. And let’s be honest some people still think colour analysis is just about being told not to wear black.
Yes, there are still consultants who carry out consultations in a way that gives you the ick…but I promise you that’s not what we do here.
Colour for me?
It’s freedom and flexibility.
It’s confidence and security.
It’s empowering and nurturing.
It’s creative. It’s scientific. It’s fascinating.
What’s not to love? It can be anything you want it to be.
So when I teach colour, I want stylists to feel how they want to feel with it. To carry out their consultations with structure if that’s what they like. Or complete creative freedom if that’s what feels right. Oh, and yes… it can absolutely earn you a ton of £££s if that’s your goal too.
Here’s the truth about colour analysis..
It’s based on the same principles wherever you learn it.
Sure, there might be tweaks to the labels or system names, but at its core, it’s all rooted in the same science, how we see and feel colour as human beings.
What many other training providers don’t teach you is:
-
How to use colour in a way that works for you
-
How to connect your clients to colour emotionally
-
How to apply proper colour theory
-
Or even how to go beyond the basic four-season approach
That’s why our training is different
We include all of the above and so much more.
From the colour wheel to the client’s wardrobe.
From the science and psychology to real-world application.
From the why to the how.
We bring real-life experience and insight to our training and yes, it’s CPD-accredited, so you know it’s good. ✅
And just a little heads-up…
Our next colour course is on the 15th January 2026, currently, you can secure your spot for just £99 If you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the time to jump in.
Because colour isn’t a trend. It’s a transformation waiting to happen.
